For each one you ll need two stiles the vertical parts two rails the horizontal parts and one panel. If you measure and cut for each one you ll be sure they ll fit. Use a pin nailer to shoot pin nails through the beadboard spacing the nails 6 inches. Place the beadboard on the front.

Lay it down on top of the cabinet to be sure it fits. Figuring the length of the stiles is easy. Wearing your safety glasses cut the beadboard to the size of every cabinet door. Next you will use the router to create a groove around the perimeter of the inside of the cabinet doors for the panel to sit inside.

Take the height of the door you want and add 1 8 in. Step 2 if you have european style hinges measure the distance from the edge of the door to 1 8 inch beyond the hole. Using a table saw cut 1 2 inch thick medium density fiberboard mdf to match the size of the existing door drawer faces and any false front on the cabinet project diagram. Cut 2 stiles the height of the cabinet doors cut 2 rails the width of the cabinet doors minus 2x the width of the boards 1 3 boards are typically 2 1 2 but it is always a good idea to double check.

Step 5 apply adhesive apply your adhesive generously to the cabinet doors or to the back of the beadboard.
